Per una corretta e sana alimentazione , il cibo per furetti dovrebbe avere un contenuto proteico pari al 32-38%, un contenuto di grassi pari al 18-22%ed un contenuto di fibre non superiore al 3%.

Non dovrebbe contenere mais nei primi tre tenori analitici e, la carne è meglio che i sottoprodotti della carne.

Il pesce dovrebbe essere evitato.

Alcune cose da ricordare quando date da mangiare al furetto:

E’ una buona idea nutrire il furetto con un misto di cibi.

Cambiando frequentemente dall’uno all’altro cibo può scombussolare la digestione del furetto causandogli diarrea o peggio se non date i cibi tutti insieme .

I furetti morirebbero di fame indebolendosi e poi ammalandosi se non viene somministrato loro qualcosa che ritengono accettabile da mangiare.

Offrire un misto rende più facile cambiare cibo se necessario.

Può essere necessario cambiare cibo se:

1 i negozi nella vostra zona smettono di procurarne di un certo tipo

2 il tipo di cibo che usate ha problemi di controllo qualità

Nella foto , un mix di varie crocchette di qualità per gatti e furetti in specifico , che fanno si che il furetto abbia un'alimentazione equilibrata e variegata

3 se il cibo che state usando cambia tutto d’un tratto la sua formulazione.(e naturalmente tutte queste cose sono successe ad un proprietario di furetti di recente).Se date un misto queste cose non accadono ai vostri furetti in quanto può cambiare solo di poco e non completamente la loro dieta.
